cute, but hynpotic if you stare at it too long!
I tried removing the shell from a snail to see if the reduced weight would make him move faster.
Sadly, it only made him more sluggish.

(I did not verify if all of these steps are required, but this is what I did.)
Initial LL fills in 4 black cells.

EL on R1 will completely place the 13 clue (if you also compare to R3). LL.

EL on C1 makes R6-8C1 and R19-30C1 dots. LL.

EL on R30 makes R30C2-4 and R30C32-35 dots.

EL on C2 makes R26-29C2 dots.

EL on C35 makes R23C35 and R29C35 dots. LL.

EL on C3 makes R26-29C3 dots.

EL on R25 makes R25C2 a dot. Small amount of LL.

If the 3 clue in C35 is completed as R24-26 or R26-28, then C33 will be invalid. So it must be in R25-27. LL.

IEL on R29 lets us know where the 12 clue is not at (but we cannot dot them because of the 1 clue in that row). The 12 clue could start at R29C6, but IEL says the left most place it could be is R29C13. From the right side, we can use IEL to dot R29C25-29. This lets us completely place the 12 clue now (R29C13-24). LL.

In C17, either R8C17 or R9C17 will be a dot. In either case R9C15 will always be black. LL to finish.

Nice puzzle!
