Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. My sister said she found it unbelievable, but I'm willing to take it at its word. It's a good story, anyway. A girl is living way out in the swamps, living off whatever she can catch and trying to stay away from the townspeople who consider her trash. Then she gets mixed up in a murder investigation.

Such a good book! That's what I thought (hoped) it would be, when I solved the bottom section, and the fire tower clinched it. :)

I sobbed my way though the last few pages, which is awkward when I'm on my lunch break and I have to go back to the circulation desk. :)

I am, and it is! I had to wait about a year, before reading this one. It was so darn popular!

I loved that book! It was the #1 most requested book from my local library in 2019, so I requested it without knowing anything about it. (I do a lot of requesting random books knowing only that someone else liked it.) It was really good!!

This does sound good! Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to look for it.

A different world from anything I've ever known, and a girl with grit. I loved it too!
