Abstemious(ly) and Facetious(ly) ...

What's so cool about these words?

I think they are the only 2 words in the English language that have this trait. If so, can the two of them be called "unique"? Or would that be "di-ique" or bi-ique"?

Wow Bill; I wouldn't have guessed that only two English words contain exactly one of each of the English vowels in alphabetical order (AEIOU), and they can even cover the "and sometimes Y" adage (which I disagree with, but have heard often enough not to ignore) with the "-ly" suffix.

... especially with "_ious(ly)" being such a common element of word construction!

Good catch Yonah - that's exactly it. For years I thought there was only "Facetious", 'til one day I was reading a book and came across "Abstemious", and it jumped off the page!
