Puzzle Description:

Watching the ice fishermen now

#1: Donald Clysdale (don) on Feb 13, 2021 [HINT] [SPOILER]

I got a brand new mango-orange kayak in the fall, and the first snowflakes fell while I was picking it up at the factory. I used it until the end of November, when it was too rough and then the bay froze. Enough of the ice should be gone by late April to get out again. We live on the tip of a point, so we get lake views from almost every room.

This one is a bit tricky. I needed to place the 8 in R19 - the 1 in R19C14 meant that R19C8 was black to prevent a problem with the 10 in R18, and then I could start. This is my third puzzle, and it took me three tries to be able to submit it. Don

I solved it by finding where the 7 and 9 in the first two columns could coexist

Wow. Sounds like you live in a place where some of us only dream about. I enjoyed the solve.

Down here by New Orleans, the weather is just flirting with near-freezing temperatures. Cold enough to make my nose runny, but not cold enough for snow.

I enjoyed the solve, but couldn't understand the image until I read the story. The title talked about ice fishing and I couldn't see it. I kept seeing a boat. The story showed that what I saw is what it is. Nice overall.

Nice puzzle and even better puzzle. While I live in the cold northern part of the US, and we just had 18 inches of snow, few can go kayaking until May here.
