Guesses anyone?

#1: Spot (Pspaughtamus) on Nov 10, 2020 [SPOILER]

Hmmm. I would have said Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but her hair is red, and the title is Not Quite Right. Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Bears? LOL

I like Juli's answer!
#3: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 10, 2020

Goldilocks and the Three Blind Mice?

...although I keep wanting to say Jack and the Being Stalked...tee hee (and I know that's a whole 'nother thing) My mind is simply stuck on half baked today.

I love Lucy's pets.

And I know I'm wrong.

I've tried every combination using Carrot Top, Strawberry Shortcake, Anne of Green Gables, Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy to Howdy Doody...The Three Amigos, The Three Stooges, The Three Tenors, The Three Little Pigs to The Three Little Kittens and many more. I'm stumped.

JoDeen. Your first one in #11 is it! I was actually thinking of the comedian.
#16: Stephanie Walker (callmeseverus) on Nov 11, 2020
Carrot Top and the Three...?
#17: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Nov 11, 2020 [SPOILER]
Hmmmm...I'm still not getting the connection, Norma...because I don't know anything Carrot Top did that links him with three of anything.

Bears. Stephanie. Are the bears that hard to recognize?https://www.natureplprints.com/north-american-wildlife/grizzly-bears-ursus-arctos-standing-heavy-rain-15376686.html

That's the whole point of this series, Jo Deen. They don't work because they are unrelated. Like would you go to a concert of Sonny and Chair? In this one there is a bit of a relationship because it's a reference to someone with gold locks. So I substituted someone with red hair and people with red hair are often called Carrot Top. So to make it a not quite right I substituted someone with red hair for someone with gold hair. Much like I replaced Tonto with Toto and Robin with Robin Hood.

I'm actually quite familiar with bears... I come from the Yosemite area. But because the phrase was a "not quite right" and all I knew at that point was the Carrot Top figure, I had no idea what the three dark figures were supposed to represent... your puzzles are good, but on a small scale like this, it's difficult to tell what they are...

With the puzzles this small it's kind of a mistake to make them guessing games. If you know what everything's supposed to be, it's easy to jump the gap and let your imagination take over. After all, how much does Mickey Mouse look like a real mouse? We were told this is Mickey Mouse so we accepted him as Mickey Mouse. To be more realistic here would mean much larger puzzles and I wanted to keep these small. And, after all, for the most part we are not going for photographic images here.
#21: Koreen (mom24plus) on Nov 11, 2020
Carrot Top is easily recognizable because of the crazy hair, well done. And the three bears, well duh, because you have small, medium, and large, but I kept trying to fit a bear, dog, and cat or mouse, lol!
#22: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Nov 11, 2020
Totally see it now, Norma...my mind was just on slow yesterday. Am loving these puzzles so much...thank you!
#23: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Nov 12, 2020 [SPOILER]
I love your three bears, Norma! I also guessed Carrot Top. ^_^
#24: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Nov 15, 2020
