Puzzle Description:

Naphthaline: The chemical used to make mothballs. I was going to use this for sublimate since naphthaline goes from a solid to gas without passing through the liquid state at room temperature but I wanted to go with the noun.

I need to ask, how do you think up all of these puzzles? You have so many!

Cool! I use them in my garbage can to deter bears.

We got some naphthalene mothballs recently (to discourage possums from nesting in our attic). They made the house smell like my grandmother's house. :)

Nowadays, naphthalene is hard to find. Moth "crystals" are made of things like dichlorobenzene.

As I see and hear things around me, I think...that might make a good puzzle. Some of the time, I get to the computer and can't remember the cool puzzle I thought up earlier. I truly enjoy making and solving them. It is a great creative outlet for me.

Yes, mothballs can also be made from paradichlorobenzene. The compound makes a good synthesis lab for organic chemistry students :)
