Interesting! I thought they were "maracas" which is also a strange name.

I thought it was a pair of hamburgers (or maybe sliders), with toothpicks through their middles. :)

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by kristen.

I changed the Solvability rating, since it's all Smile and Edge and Two-Way logic.

Can be solved with two way logic easily.

Then there are the oblate missionaries....https://www.omiusa.org I couldn't find any prolate missionaries.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by wombatilim.

Initial line & color logic solves 59% with only black remaining.

R16: EL places the 7 in C18-24. LL.
C2: EL places the 4 in R6-9. LL.
C27: Whether the top 3 goes into R6 or R8, R8C26 is white. LL.

C12: No matter how the top 4 is placed, R8-9 C11 are white.
C27: No matter how the top 3 is placed, R8C28 is white.
R5: If the right 3 goes into C27 or C28, it makes C28 invalid, so R5 C27-28 are white. LL.

R5: If the right 3 goes into C25, it must also go to C26, which makes C28 invalid. Therefore R5C23 is black. LL.

C12: If the 4 goes to R2, C10 is invalid. R6C12 is black. LL.

R5: If C11 is part of a 3, R4 is invalid. It must be the 2nd 1 instead. LL.

R7C10 can be marked white with LL, though the hint button doesn’t catch it.

C15: No matter how the first 3 is finished, R8C16 is white. LL.

C18: If the first 2 is in R8-9, the first 1 in C20 would need to go to R5, making R5 invalid. R5-6 C18 are black instead.
