I love love love this one. We just got two stray kittens and bought them some catnip toys which didn't interest them at all. We're thinking of bringing them in, and I bet this will happen. Our other cats loved our Xmas trees, real or fake.

Very cute.

Years ago I had this wonderful cat whose mission is life was to find ways to tease me. He would sit peacefully under the tree and after a while I would see something moving on the tree out of the corner of my eye and would look over and a ball would be swinging back and forth and my cat, of course, would be sitting there imitating a ceramic statue. He would wait until I looked away and soon another ball would be swinging. I never caught him batting a ball, but he would keep it up for a long time.

Totally great! We have a hook that we screwed into the ceiling and then attached heavy wire between it and the tree. I do recommend eliminating the tinsel if you have cats. At one point we h ad a $1500 pound cat because he swallowed a piece of tinsel that wrapped around in his stomach, and because it was made of plastic instead of metal, it did not show up via x-ray. It took an emergency operation (of course it happened on Sunday), to find out what was wrong with the cat. If I had be told up front it was going to cost $1500, I really think we would have said good-bye to the cat. But each thing that had to be done was $50, $100, $250, etc. until it all added up. He did live a long and active life after that though.
