Can you identify it?
#1: Philip (Philip) on Jul 18, 2020 [SPOILER]
swallow?#2: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on Jul 18, 2020 [SPOILER]
I don't know much about British birds but if it were the U.S., I would say Barn Swallow#3: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jul 18, 2020
I'm with Philip. Swallow.#4: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jul 18, 2020 [HINT]
LL and CL get everything done except for some blue.#5: Steve (stevieb) on Jul 19, 2020
Check out Row 18. No matter where the blue 1 clue goes, C3R17 is white. LL fills in a smidge more.
IEL in C4 sets off the rest and brings you home.
Yep, it's a swallow :)#6: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jul 19, 2020
Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.#7: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 19, 2020 [HINT]
After LL/CL#8: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Jul 25, 2020
EL 2 c6 = r18 white
Extended EL 2 c6 - if it were in r16-17, then it would make those rows white left of c5. That would force both the 1s in c3&4 into r18 causing a conflict. So c6r17 must be white
LL to finish
Aurelian's also works. In lieu of EL on c4, I would point out the EL on c6 - it's like half-a-step shorter and a little more obvious. (The 2 cannot be in r16-17 without creating an immediate conflict in c4)
I thought it would be one of the spice girls or something#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 25, 2020
