A Hearthstone, from the Warcraft series. A stone used to port a character back home.

It started out looking like it was going to be a closeup of an eye. Then I thought it was going to be a hurricane inside of an eye, which would be seriously cool - like the fantasy pairing thing Brian started a little while ago.

I see why something that brings you home would be called a heartstone, though. Cuz home is where the heart is.

Looks to me like being carried home in a hurricane. Not the safest way to travel.

it's a hearth stone, not a heart stone. :)

Home is where the hearth is, too. Or it used to be, when families cooked over the fireplace. :)

Cool. Even though it's not like the cover art, I still couldn't help thinking of A Wrinkle in Time, lol. Goes to show my age.
