I've done 4 of these. I like the geometrics. This one looks familiar; I first saw a zipper. Then I read the previous comments, and wondered about the difference. So:

"Parquette" refers to creating the pattern by using different pieces of material. So a parquette can be either herringbone or chevron. This is herringbone; the ends are squared. In chevron, the ends are cut at an angle, so they're pointed.
