Puzzle Description:

Those socks are a bit thick. You could use one of my homemade shoe horns.

Thank you for the lovely puzzle, Brian. I don't think I've ever had one done for me before! Now that I am back in the Midwest, I certainly am wearing nice thick socks...however, shoes that require shoehorns have not touched my tootsies for quite some years now. I'm a Birky girl...although lately I admit to liking some open sandal styles of Crocs.

How do I get (or make) my own shoe horn (that may work for socks too???) I too have become a Queen of Unenclosed Shoes, but I hated to have renounced my Reign of Matching Mismatched Socks (tho I still hold the title for Matching Mismatched Shoes). I've also lost a lot of sensation in my feet, making wearing sandals in the snow a potentially dangerous habit....
So I am serious about wanting a creatively created shoe/sock horn!

I've built a rig to SAFELY remove a U shaped groove from a blank on my table saw. Each one then takes several hours to hand shape and finish. It is good to be retired.

There are many types of shoehorns, Brash. I would suggest going to a full-service drug store, or looking up a medical-supply store. There are many services for diabetic foot care.
