Is it a chicken coop on chicken feet?
#2: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 6, 2008
I have seen some STRANGE things on this site, but this one takes the cake! This is completely bizarre and made me actually LOL. (Come to think of it, that expression "takes the cake" is strange, LOL).

No, This is the small house where lives old witch who takes children that are not listen to their parents and eats them. I am planning to make the continuation of this story.

Adam did you solved it?
#5: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 6, 2008
Yes, I just did. It was fun to solve. I just thought it was very funny. I love the story so far. Can't wait for more!

#8: m2 (mercymercy) on Sep 7, 2008 [SPOILER]
Marz you wish there was a house where bad children got eaten up? Have you been having trouble with the little ones? ;) lol
#9: Marie-Louise Ambrey (marz) on Sep 7, 2008 [SPOILER]
Um....just a little Mercy. They drove me insane today, but hopefully tomorrow I will not wish for a house such as this, fingers crossed, they will all be at school anyways, thank goodness, I need to recuperate after this weekend :)

I had a chuckle with this image too Vera!
I can hardly wait to go solve the next installment.
Thanks for sharing the story Vera and congratulations on posting at Webpbn. This may not be your first puzzle here but it's the first one that I have solved.
It is nice to have you here. :-D

Pictures at an Exhibition: #9 Hut on Fowl's Legs!

Pictures at an Exhibition... so underrated. Glad I'm not the only one who knows about that masterpiece.

I remember playing excerpts from "Pictures" in high school concert band. I think I actually played bass on the Baba Yaga.
#16: Byrdie (byrdie) on Aug 3, 2010 [SPOILER]
I actually am familiar with this fairy tale. I don't think all the color was necessary but I love the idea. If I remember the story correctly, the house also spins on its feet.

Looking for # 2 next.

I was solving the black first, when I thought, "That looks like Baba Yaga's hut!" Then I looked at the title. :)

I, too, love Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, but I actually heard the story first by reading my aunt's old issues of Jack & Jill magazine.

Here's the music, but I'd recommend listening to the entire suite, if you've never heard it.

I apologize that the music link cuts of so abruptly, but it segues into the finale, "The Great Gates of Kiev." Here's the two movements together (WELL worth the 9 1/2 minutes):

This would fit well into a series I'm doing now. Fantasy Pairings.
