There's a Latin word for that?!#2: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 15, 2020 [SPOILER]
Phobia is a Greek word, but yes, after a fashion.#3: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Feb 16, 2020
from the Greek sidêros, "iron", and dromos, "run"
Oh, so it means fear of the iron runner, such as a train. I also didn't know it was Greek. Here I was thinking all these terms were Latin.#4: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 16, 2020
I'm sure there have been some kludged-together phobias that use Latin prefixes. :)#5: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Feb 16, 2020
Some folks have complained about the term polyamory, because it combines Greek and Latin. They say it should either be polyphilia, or multiamory.
Well if your many loves include Greek and Latin, I should think it's totally valid to combine the two. ^=^#6: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 17, 2020
