Rung cube cell horn?#2: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 11, 2019
You got it, Maceraseven!#3: Andrew Schultz (blurglecruncheon) on Sep 11, 2019
Thank you for the kind welcome! It's been fun to be here, and it's neat to have a puzzle of my own (well, until I can make one. I'd like to. But I'd like it to be worthy.) I'd played on PBN sites before but 1) they had no community and 2) I didn't realize they could have more than 2 colors, and the new logic has been interesting.#4: Andrew Schultz (blurglecruncheon) on Sep 11, 2019 [SPOILER]
It was also just about the ideal size and difficulty for me--I'm still learning more advanced techniques, but there was a nice combination of grinding it out and insight.
I was able to solve the logic without clicking "hint," but I confess I went to the Internet Anagram Server (I'm a big fan of that site--I've used it a lot and enjoyed its quotes) to figure out the solution. I went with a longer synonym for the last word & got stuck for a bit.
Also, I realized how tough my actual name is to anagram. Someone years ago came up with "Dawn Churlzest" which made me laugh but CHURNS WALTZED is a bit hard to draw in PBN. The anagram server gives 84 combos but a lot of the nouns are really abstract.
The spoiler bit is, I had a lot of fun guessing wrong at first until I took a closer look and saw oh, of course that's what the picture is. And that's an additional part of the fun! Once you see it you feel a bit silly missing things in the first place.#5: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Sep 11, 2019
I thought the last word was "bugle" but I like "horn" better as it helps mix up the letters a bit more... "bugle" is too close to "blurgle" and anyway it's hard to find a 3-letter word.
Also I got stuck on the upper left when it was almost complete because Ladder has an a but my account name doesn't... oh. Oops.
And as a chess fan I thought I saw !!!! ??? and wondered if it was grammar, but yes, it's clearly a cell.
Great little pictures. All crisp and clear.#6: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 12, 2019 [SPOILER]
Andrew, I'm glad you enjoyed the solve. I thought about adding a clue that the fourth word is not "bugle," but I thought it might be more fun for you to figure that out yourself.#7: jewel crown (jewel) on Sep 13, 2019
Norma, thanks a bunch!
Another wonderful black and white image. Fun anagram too!#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 14, 2019
Thanks, Jewel. I'm glad you are enjoying these.#9: Alisa G (sleepsong) on Sep 15, 2019 [SPOILER]
You can also find long versions of a couple of the things - I found church, cube, _____, bugle, and then realized that those didn't fit with the letters I had (too many c's).#10: Teresa K (fasstar) on Sep 15, 2019
Hi, Alisa! I have just published a puzzle with an anagram of your gamer id. :-)#11: Alisa G (sleepsong) on Sep 16, 2019
