I don't know what they do now but as a child (many moons ago) we leaned both. While the "Sound of Music" was popular, children learned do, re, mi, etc to sing along because it was a fun song.

Another thing I noticed: it says that I saved this puzzle on Aug 10 at 1:30 am. But here in California it's only Aug 9 at 6:30 pm. Where does this website originate that it is 6 hours ahead of Cali?

Vicki, I've noticed that, too. It's 4 hours ahead of me and I am on the Atlantic coast. By the way, I believe you may have missed an hour. 6:30 to 1:30 is 7 hours, right?

Jan may have gone by the international date line. i'm in Az and there is 7 hours difference. Right now we are the same time as Calif.
