My cat hated the carrier; it took days to lure him into it, and then it was nothing but rage in a cage. Then I took him to be "fixed". He was pretty groggy for a while after the anesthesia. Our cat just considers it another box. Leave the door open and he will go in, curl up and go to sleep.
