simple, but effective optical illusion. well done

Although the pattern could be easily discerned by the clues, I am wondering if anyone is trying to solve this logically. I found the puzzle easy, but then I do use patterns suggested by the clues to solve.

Here's my rough scratchwork. This is a toughie, a rewarding solve and image.

R7C29 green
R6C18 blue means R6C6 can't be blue
R14-16C6 blue

R7C2-12 can't be blue and that places blues in R3-6 C17.
R9C12-13 are blue.
R3C19 is blue.

Then it opens up--pretty soon I placed enough blues to fit the 1-3-1 in R22.
