I've seen an actual race between a pet rabbit and a pet tortoise. The bunny got off to a good start while the tortoise got further and further behind. But I kid you not that when the bunny was almost at the finish line, it got distracted by something and lagged while the tortoise caught up, passed him, and won. It was really cute, actually.
