(*smacks forehead*) I picked the Better Oats.

I love to see Pepsi stumble. Originally, I simply preferred Coke, but I acquired a genuine dislike for Pepsi when they ran the fraudulent "I picked the Pepsi" challenge ads. They would survey people looking for Coke drinkers and challenge them to a taste test where they would be offered to taste and choose between two cups of cola. The advertising tag line was "in taste tests, 9 out of 10 Coke drinkers picked the Pepsi" - implying that the challenge was based of taste preference. In actuality, after tasting the two colas, the person was a to pick the Pepsi. So, they proved that people who say they prefer Coke can really taste a difference. (Imagine running a similar taste test and bragging that 9 out of 10 fresh milk drinkers picker the sour milk. Just because they can reliably distinguish which is which does not mean they prefer the one they identified.)

It's amazing what lengths companies will go to. My pet peeve right now is toilet paper. Since there seems to be no regulations controlling the size of a roll, they now advertise rolls that are actually smaller than a regular roll used to be as Big, Double, Mega, etc. I no longer have a car and getting to a store is difficult so I shop a lot online for bulky and/or heavy items and when I see these lined up side by side I just sit there and shake my head.

Rule of thumb: Everything advertisers say is a lie. The few things that are true are the exception not the rule. They will advertise a product's worst feature as if it's their best.

As Berke Breathed would say (speaking as Milo Bloom), they both taste like malted battery acid.
