Nice puzzle, and a good title.#2: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 28, 2019
Brrrr! And parts of the USA are going to get even colder this week.#3: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Jan 28, 2019 [SPOILER]
Yes! On Wednesday here in Ann Arbor we're expecting a high temperature of -7F and a low of -17F. Brr!#4: Aldege Cholette (Aldege) on Jan 29, 2019 [SPOILER]
(For people who think in Celsius, that's a high of -22C and a low of -27C. Brrr!)
That has been the norm, here in Plaster Rock New Brunswick. Very cold. So cold that I'm running 4 electric space heaters and my oven to keep the inside temperature at around 70F, which is comfortable for my girls.#5: Bruce Yanoshek (yanogator) on Jan 29, 2019
Or maybe anti-climatic?#6: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Jan 29, 2019
Reminds me of my Siberian cousin Freesia Rasov :)#7: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 29, 2019
@#6 Groan. Took me a minute.#8: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on Jan 29, 2019
Chilly, chilly!! Oh now that mondegreen is going to be stuck in my head: Chilly, chilly coco puff, chilly chilly puff puff, which of course are totally the wrong lyrics.#9: Rusty Nail (Sheba) on Feb 2, 2019
Fun, easy puzzle. Even better, I knew what it was before reading the comments.#10: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Feb 2, 2019
A little more word play. Have you ever heard someone pronounce it anti climatic? There is the related term anti climax. Sounds very disappointing.#11: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Feb 3, 2019
Anticlimacticism is one of my favorite comedic effects in cartoons. Milo Murphey's Law is pretty good at portraying this concept. There's a lot of build up... and then not much of a result which you expect to be big and climactic. But the resulting irony is delicious.#12: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 3, 2019
Oh I'm so glad it turned out to be a thermometer, and not something else that could be suggested by that word. Whew.
