Thank you, Teresa.

Teresa, my father was also in the US Army Air Corps. He flew a P-38 Lightning. He was shot down in France and killed three weeks before I was born. My book about him will be published this month.

What a fantastic job you did on this insignia, Teresa. What did he fly and where was he based?

How sad that you did not get to know your father, Susan. He flew a very exciting airplane for it's time.

Two of my brothers were in the 8th Air Force during WW II. The oldest was on the ground crew and the middle brother was a B-17 pilot in the Bloody Hundredth Bomb Group and was based in England.

Thank you all for your comments. My Dad was a navigator on a B-24 bomber and he was based in Guam. When he was still healthy, he and my Mom traveled to visit the WWII Memorial. Susan, I'm so sorry you never got to know your Dad.

The circle on the insignia is actually blue, but since I have difficulty telling blue from black, I just made it black. I also intentionally made it asymmetrical to make the solve more interesting.

Thanks, JoDeen. I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzle.

Angry birds - yeah! Although I never saw my dad angry. He was one of those guys who keep their emotions in check. I remember that song. Sigh.

Both of my (late) parents served as Air Force officers during the Korean War, and actually met in a JAG courtroom. My father was prosecuting an NCO who had invited his civilian buddy (who brought the bottle) on to the base and they snuck in to see a new classified bomber. My mom was the hapless NCO's commanding officer (in fact, she was the first woman to command an Air Force squadron) who fell in love with the dashing young attorney during cross examination. They were married months later, and remained so forever (60 years <3 )

Buen puzzle y bonitas y curiosas historias. Pero lo que más deseo en este momento es que Teresa responda a este comentario, pues desde principios del mes de Diciembre pasado no he vuelto a ver ningún comentario suyo.

¿Alguien ha visto alguno?
#20: Jota (jota) on Apr 4, 2021
No Julio, la he llamado por teléfono, pero no atiende y el buzón de mensajes está lleno. Me preocupa, pero no tengo otra forma de contactarla.
#21: Julio Parra (Julio Parra) on May 4, 2021
Jota, yo la he contactado. Está bien, aunque muy ocupada. Volverá pronto por aquí de nuevo.
