This puzzle was really fun to solve. Thanks, Brian.
When I first solved it, I made a mistake on my edge logic and went a long way before finally coming to a contradiction. I was worried that I might have to change it but then found my error.
Oh, and yes, I do solve my own puzzles and pretend I don't know what the solution is to see if it is solvable by logic alone. I make the puzzles I like to solve.
