I think of the best April Fool’s jokes a week or so too late….#12: BRASH ATAOM (BRASHatAOM) on Apr 11, 2025
My favorite one this year, inspired by the movie The Friend, is that a Dalmatian dog’s spots slowly move across the arc of time, but so slowly that hardly anyone notices. In fact, this is true for any animal with spots, as well as the freckles and moles of a person from Dalmatian….#13: Susanna White (maggi) on Jul 22, 2025
Quick question for any coders out there. Is there a way to change the background from stark white, or am I missing something? It is hard on my eyes. Thank you!#14: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 22, 2025
Not easily without a browser extension. I have Dark Reader for Firefox (but normally have it disabled because of performance issues).
You could also use a browser style editor to change it on a page-by-page basis. This is not terribly easy for non-programmers, but I can tell how to do it on Firefox (at least at the moment)
> Right click on the page and choose Inspect
> Choose the - {}Style Editor - tab
> From the left panel, choose either - style.css - (if you're on a puzzle page) or - test.css - (if you're on a comment page)
> In the right panel, look for the - body{ - section and highlight the #fff in the line that has - background-color: #fff; -
>You can now change that to either a different RGB number (e.g. #A9A9A9), or an html color name (e.g. DarkGray)
This will immediately change the background color for that page and only that page. It will go away if you go to another page or even refresh that page.
