It's good to try pictures at different scales, but you chose a *very* boring one. Getting a recognizable portrait of someone (or maybe an animal) is far more interesting. Charlie Chaplin and Abraham Lincoln are two individuals whose looks are so iconic that you can get them very, very tiny and still know who they are.
