For a fourth in the set, have a scale with an empty container for "tare".

I have to admit, I had the face and the cake done first, and I thought they went together. I couldn't figure out why someone was crying while blowing out a candle on their cake.

Juli, I can imagine the very young or the very old crying at blowing out candles. The young, because they didn't blow them all out and won'n get their wish and the elderly crying when they see what looks like a small forest fire on top of their cake reminding them of their advancing age. :)

Yay, I got this one! (I also thought of tare, and tried to turn the cake into a scale)

Glad you got it, Kristin. Have to admit I had to look up tare.

I have an additional pair! Terror and tearer...the little dog is a tearer (of the girl's dress)...and the look of terror on the girl's face at having her dress torn by by an attacking dog.
#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 26, 2018
Plus the dog might be a terrier, which doesn't *quite* rhyme...
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 26, 2018
Doesn't quite rhyme, Kristen, but funny anyway/

Lol Kristen...playing with "terrier" was how I got to tearer and terror.
