Puzzle Description:

I'm sorry in advance that some may be offended by this rhyme.

Until I read the description, I thought it was tie-dye Hawaii, but I can't imagine anyone finding that offensive.
#2: Janez (Janez) on May 31, 2018 [SPOILER]

I'm guessing it's something to do with being gay + hippy = Mississippi, but I'm not sure what the first word would be. "Missy" maybe? idk.
#6: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 31, 2018 [SPOILER]
Oh, that old schoolyard insult, "sissy".
#7: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on May 31, 2018 [SPOILER]
Sissy hippie. Big assist to Joe
#8: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on May 31, 2018 [SPOILER]
You got it Joe (and Bill). Some use this for counting seconds. "one sissy hippy, two sissy hippy, three sissy hippy..."

I missed this on the first go-around. That group of black between C1-C4 and R10-R17 requires a bit of 2-way logic, so it's absolutely not trivial.

The pose is spot-on. :)
