One of many lyrics which I never could catch. Sorry Seals and Crofts. Sorry jasmine. Thanks Brian.

Hilarious, great image and a really fun solve. LOVE your mondegreens!

What is the origin of that word?
#3: Norma Dee (norm0908) on May 7, 2018
What fun!
#4: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 7, 2018
The word mondegreen comes from a misheard lyric of the death of a lord, "and Lady Mondegreen". But what really happened was they "laid him on the green".

"Blowing through the jasmine in my mind".
Very cool.
#6: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 7, 2018 [SPOILER]
I could always hear it properly, only because we had jasmine growing on a trellis in our backyard, so I was familiar with the flower (and its scent).
#7: Gaynor Sorrell (gesorrell) on May 7, 2018
Fun one, Brian!
#8: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on May 8, 2018
Thanks Joe!

Eons ago, that was how I heard the song, too. And funnily, I always heard Carole King singing "Jasmine, take my blues away..."

Ironic.

Don't'cha think?
#12: Teresa K (fasstar) on May 11, 2018
Really fun! Thanks, Brian.

I'll never hear that song the same way again. The colors really help make this image funny to me. If it were monochrome it would have to be bigger and the joke wouldn't be as succinct.
