Hard to get started. If anyone wants a hint, I started at R37, C1.

I'd say nearly impossible to get started logically. If there is deep lookahead to get this started it's probably on the 6 in c37. I stopped looking after I reduced its range to [r15-28] (using some deep lookahead already). Feel free to post a step-by-step method if you find one. Until then this is some guessing required.

Given Kristen's (not logically derived) free pixel of r37c1=black, this could be solved with some edge logic very near the beginning and some two-way logic near the end.

Found to require some guessing by infrapinklizzard.

True, it wasn't purely logical. I just hoped for a "1" clue along the edge, and that one worked.

I did not have to guess, but I did have to use very deep lookahead. The key is the 6 in c37. Rows 1-9 and 31+ are obviously out. One can eventually place the 6. The 3 in c34 is important; the wrong placements of the 6 usually cause two widely separated squares to be black in that column.
