Puzzle Description:

... are the names my daughter assigned to her kidneys, before successfully donating Dexter. The surgery went perfectly and Jess is recovering rapidly. The Bean has stepped up to his additional duties in admirable fashion. Thanks to all for your prayers and good wishes. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2018!

...yes, what Alison said!

It takes a remarkable person in this day and age to be one of the true pioneers of this type of donating. Bless her loving heart and her loyal Bean.

I won't forget her when I pray...or the recipient of Dexter either.

What an inspiring story, which managed, in addition, to create a really fun WPN! Congratulations, and prayers that donor and recipient both recover fully and quickly!

Congratulations on having such an awesome daughter. You did good as a parent. I guess you must have taught her that it's nice to share. Of course, this goes way beyond nice... to heroic.

Prayers continue for Dexter and Bean and their respective hosts.

Gaynor, I don't know if you will ever see this, but my son had a kidney transplant in 2008. His father was a donor. The kidney is still doing an excellent job. I fully appreciate the amazing thing your daughter did.
