This was a clever puzzle, and I liked that the gradation lines were staggered rather than all the same width.#2: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 29, 2017
Fun little puzzle. What kind of dog? Do you have booties for him/her?#3: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 29, 2017
Ugh, I know, right? It's so cold right now! My area is seeing temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees.#4: marjorie rex (mamo) on Dec 29, 2017
here too! I went out for the mail and that was enough! our high was 18. 9 for tomorrow's high. ugh#5: Lollipop (lollipop) on Dec 29, 2017
Normally Ottawa, ON where I live is on average the seventh coldest national capital in the world. As of two nights ago it has officially been the coldest -- colder than Ulan Bator, colder than Moscow, colder than Reykjavik, colder than Helsinki. As I write, with wind chill factored in it's 11 below zero Fahrenheit. The deep freeze is expected to last until at least through January 2. The evening of January 1 we're expecting record-tying temperatures of 30 below. So sorry, Marjorie, I can be only mildly sympathetic for your 9 above. (Literally, because if I cry for you my tears might freeze.)#6: Jennifer Jones (geekess) on Dec 29, 2017 [HINT]

I have what I call a mini black lab...not sure what she is, she is a stray that adopted us. But that is what she looks like :) No booties...but then no snow here yet.#8: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 29, 2017
Oh, dear, Lollipop! It amazes me what humans can really put up with! 11 below, wow! I hope your loved ones are keeping you warm, and I hope you don't have any reason to shed tears that will freeze! >.<#9: Ga Hendrick (GaHendrick) on Dec 29, 2017 [SPOILER]

I am not that far from Lollypop, further east along the Atlantic coast and it was -36 degrees Celsius last night while I was snow blowing the 2ft of drifted snow off my driveway. My hands were frozen and the pain from them thawing was making me naus..naus..feeling sick. You know what folks. You get use to it. I am sure that 20 degrees feels freezing to someone in Tennessee. They are not use to that. :)#11: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 29, 2017
If I had grown up in that kind of cold weather, I would probably know pretty much how to deal with it. I sit here completely unable to imagine it being that cold. If I were suddenly uprooted and plunked down in that kind of weather I probably wouldn't last a day, even if I stayed indoors next to a roaring fire. My brain simply wouldn't be able to cope.#12: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Dec 30, 2017
We are pretty close to Ottawa and getting the same cold temperatures. It was -35 C on my car thermometer yesterday morning but warmed up to -20 during the day. My dog doesn't even want to go for a walk it is so cold. Love this little puzzle#13: Jennifer Jones (geekess) on Dec 30, 2017

Great little puzzle, Jennifer. Thanks.#16: Jennifer Jones (geekess) on Jan 2, 2018 [HINT]
I grew up in Colorado and lived in Wisconsin for a few years. Too cold there, moved back to Colorado. Too cold there, moved to Arizona. Just right. Don't hate me, but I walked the dog today in my shirt sleeves and was almost too warm. I think it was 77F, just about perfect. (✬‿✬) - Teresa
