It's easy to predict that smile logic is necessary to finish the mouth, and therefore the "2" clues in columns 3 and 8 must intersect rows 4 and 5.#2: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 21, 2017 [HINT]
cheer up Seb! you made a tricky easy puzzle :)#3: (SebTvHd) on Dec 21, 2017
you can bring it down to pure smile logic at the bottom by doing the top/eyes first...C5R4 and C5R5 can't both be black, so at least one of C3R4 or C3R5 is black making both of them black, then the same on the other side.
I'm better now, I finally got my laptop back!#4: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 21, 2017
Good!#5: Belita (belita) on Dec 21, 2017 [SPOILER]
There's no smile logic here - only frown logic.#6: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 21, 2017
A frown is a smile turned upside down.:)#7: Susan Nagy (susannagy54) on Jan 16, 2018
Right Belita -- it is FROWN logic. I was sure I was going to get a "This is not the intended solution" message, but to my surprise I got the "Yahoo!" instead. But it is a cute puzzle, anyway.#8: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Mar 16, 2018

David's is the more rigorous logic.
