Oh, goody, another adventure with some dear characters !#2: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Dec 15, 2017
It's winter. Take an umbrella unless you are going to England in which case you will need a bumbershoot. If you are heading to the southern hemisphere, you can probably do without it.#3: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Dec 15, 2017
Nice use of color.#4: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Dec 16, 2017 [SPOILER]
This was a fun solve KRGB.#5: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 16, 2017 [HINT]
Brian, bumbershoot rang a dim bell, but I'd always heard "brolly" as the British slang for umbrella. So I looked it up, and it seems that bumbershoot is an Americanism that was projected onto the British. Mostly they would be confused if you said it to them.

Well, heck. I thought that was what they called umbrellas in Manchester, at least, but now I see I'd been duped by the writers of Frasier (among others).#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 20, 2017
