Thx for your guesses gang. Travis is close and David's guess is hilarious. Yes Al(great name btw) that's what they look like except these ones were granny's going out to special event ones. No manure on these ones.#8: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Nov 30, 2017
Yes Aurelian, the one pictured is the one the winner will receive. Gift wrapped no less is UPS wrapping.
Grandma only wore her clogs when she pole danced Kathy.
:)
Good example of color logic.#9: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Nov 30, 2017
Did she win a dance off?#10: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 30, 2017
Thx Blackcat. :)#11: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 30, 2017
No Aurelian she did not. However dancing was involved. What sort of events are focused on dancing. In fact the word dance is in the name of this event. This only happens once a year btw. :)
Dance of the sugar plum fairies?#12: annalivia (annalivia) on Nov 30, 2017
The Christmas Cotillion? Was the prize a box of mistletoe?#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 30, 2017
Sorry Norma, that's not it. We've been missing your puzzles Norma. Hope some inspiration comes soon. :)#14: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Nov 30, 2017
Good try Annalivia but no. :)
I'll give a few more chances before I reveal. I really want to give this FBA away. :)
Did she win the Mirror Ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars? Lol, jk. Did she win the BC Annual Dance Competition or a Canada DanceSport competition? It's a long shot because they are both for youths and research tells me that they haven't been around long enough for your Grandma to have been a youth when she competed if the event is either of them... but am I close?#15: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Nov 30, 2017
Sorry, double post.#16: Gaynor Sorrell (gesorrell) on Nov 30, 2017
Dance marathon?#17: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 1, 2017
Sorry again Aurelian and Gaynor.#18: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Dec 1, 2017
O.K. I guess I'll tell everyone. The yearly dance event was known as The Sadie Hawkins Dance. Grandma went to one of these dances that the girl asks the guy if he'll be her date. Grandma asked this young man that she fancied to be her date. He accepted, but not long into the dance Grandma discovered that her date was full of himself and an altogether A-hole. They argued and as Grandma stormed out she stumbled into a handsome young lad. He was so taken with her outright beauty that he asked her to dance. He was a wonderful dancer as was she. He also was the furthest thing from an A-hole and the rest is history. Grandma's prize was Grandpa and vice-versa.
Sorry I couldn't award this FBA to anyone. I guess it will go back on the mantle I don't have. Thx gang :)
Of course. The boots would have been quite appropriate at a Sadie Hawkins Dance.#19: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Dec 1, 2017
Really enjoyed solving this one, Aldege...as well as all the guesses and your story!#20: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 1, 2017
Hahahahaha! I would have never guessed. I suppose it's because I don't naturally think of getting a man as winning any sort of prize. Heeheehee. But I do genuinely think it's a sweet story.#21: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 1, 2017
Thx Norma. I'm a little surprised no one won an FBA on this one. :)#22: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 1, 2017
Thx JoDeen. The guesses and story were fun indeed. :)
I understand Aurelian. I feel the same way about women. However the fact is a lot of people do consider their significant other as being of prize winning quality. I know there is a woman out there that I would feel that way about. However I've never been a good enough man to deserve such a woman. I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzle. :)

You have kids, right? How do they happen if you don't have a love of your life? I thought it was this Niki people talk about from time to time... I've only found her mentioned sparingly, so I haven't got the full story. Isn't she your beloved wife?
Yes I do but not all children are planned and you don't necessarily wait for the love of your life before you have sex. Niki is great and all and perhaps could be the love of my life. However she has many issues and I'm not man enough to be able to handle them the way I should. I sure am thankful for my 3 girls though. :)#24: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 2, 2017
You keep on loving your girls, then. ^-^ Give them the best of you. :)
