Tricky for me, but very nice finish. Tree trunk logic? Yep. I used it. Did you mean survive the coming winter? Or am I missing something about polar bears?#2: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 18, 2017

Thx Norma. Polar bears fatten up during the winter because when the snow and ice melt their food source becomes scarce. :)
Apparently only the pregnant female polar bear hibernates:#4: Ki Bitzar (kibitzar) on Nov 18, 2017
After feeding throughout the summer and fall, a pregnant female polar bear starts to build a maternity den, where she will give birth to her cubs and nurse them until spring.
Great solve and a very nice image. Thank you!#5: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Nov 18, 2017 [SPOILER]

Thx Ki. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Thx Susan. :)
Nice polar bear! All the trees made me think it was a lake at first, but then it became increasingly polar bearish. I hope those aren't little bits of seal sticking to his fur!#8: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 20, 2017
Thx Gaynor. Yes they are. It was the only way I could get it solvable. :)#9: Vaggelis Kamaris (evag7651) on Nov 24, 2017
