Puzzle Description:
The Total Solar Eclipse in Madras Oregon. I've included the two brightest solar prominences and the parachutist who photobombed the event.

Aha! I was waiting for you to chime in about the TSE and I am not disappointed. Fun little puzzle.#2: Koreen (mom24plus) on Aug 23, 2017
There's always gotta be that one photobomber who has to parachute his way into the picture!#3: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Aug 23, 2017
You must admit, this is the coolest photobomb ever.#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Aug 23, 2017
Yeah it is, Brian. Very cool puz. Or hot, I suppose. :-)#5: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Aug 24, 2017
The ISS was a pretty epic photobomb.#6: Gaynor Sorrell (gesorrell) on Aug 24, 2017

I was wondering how you were going to make a puzzle out of Thomas Stearns Eliot... I drove down to Sweetwater, Tennessee, to watch the eclipse. Quite an adventure - flat tire at 2 a.m. in the middle of nowhere driving down. Got a new tire in Roanoke, VA, at 7 a.m. Monday morning and made it to Sweetwater just in time. Then a 16-hour drive home, with the car threatening to overheat after hours of stop-and-go driving. But definitely worth the struggle! Now I know that eclipses sound like cicadas singing (at least, in a cicada year).#7: Lisa D (dvorli) on Aug 24, 2017
I went down by St Louis to see it. Amazing!!!#8: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Aug 24, 2017
I was in Madras Oregon. Amazing!#9: besmirched tea (besmirched tea) on Aug 25, 2017 [SPOILER]
I was in Portland Oregon, outside the path of totality (it was ninety-something percent, but not enough to see it well without the glasses).#10: Kathy Cain (kathycain) on Aug 25, 2017
I was all "that was it?" but when I saw the totality pics later, I understood what the fuss was about.
What a great show!#11: S Stahl (sastahl) on Aug 25, 2017 [SPOILER]
I would have loved to have been in the total eclipse, but in Boston, I wasn't even close. My daughter goes to school in Vermont, and apparently the eclipse in 2023 is going to be total in Burlington, VT. If she's still there, I'm visiting!#12: annalivia (annalivia) on Aug 26, 2017
Thank you Brian!
I was in Millersburg, Oregon... about 100 miles due west of you, Brian. An awesome sight!#13: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Aug 18, 2020
I live in Knoxville, TN... the traffic in the area created a total eclipse of the pavement!
