Re #5: the Euphonium is also called a Baritone, and is popular in marching bands. The French horn players, for instance, marched with euphoniums. The oboists (because double reeds are fragile) at *my* school played percussion instruments during marching season. The tuba players, however, did not switch to Sousaphones.
Okay that's about the most adorable thing I've seen on this site -GREAT image!!!#11: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Aug 15, 2017
Some really talented tuba players. This will surprise anyone who has only heard the oom pa pa sound from tubas.#12: Koreen (mom24plus) on Aug 15, 2017
Kristen, I was the only female who played oboe, so I was on the flag team. the other oboists played bells, or in one case, switched to saxaphone!#13: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Aug 15, 2017
They tried me on oboe for a while, but the reeds were too delicate and too expensive. So I switched to trombone.#14: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Aug 15, 2017
He's dressed for the show!#15: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Aug 16, 2017

Koreen, those are also good options! One of our oboists played snare drum, and the other played the xylophone & glockenspiel.#17: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Aug 19, 2017
