All of these plays-on-words are very funny. I love puns so much; they're the most clever kind of joke. When a pun compounds with some sort of language device, it is the best. Turning a proverb into a pun is a good example. The paradoxical pun is my favorite, and I have only achieved it once. My favorite compound pun is this, "I butter get out of this jam, or I'm toast."
