Not in Canada,Aurilian. We don't use pennies anymore cause it cost more in copper to make a penny than a penny is worth. And that just doesn't make cents. :)#8: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 14, 2017
U.S. pennies are mostly zinc, with a copper veneer. There's even chemistry experiment that'll dissolve the zinc, leaving a thin copper shell.
