Wasn't sure but I thought this one fit the picture: Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow.†Very nice puzzle.#2: Lenore Wilkison (fidelio) on Jul 6, 2017

LOL @ Bill's reply.#7: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jul 6, 2017
Aurelian, I don't know which proverb this is, but it is absolutely beautiful. I didn't see the image until I was almost done. I love it when that happens. :-)
These are some good guesses, but unfortunately none yet are what I had in mind. I don't want to give it away too soon, so I won't tell you what it is. I will give you a hint, though. I may have used the silhouette of a vaguely goose-like shape, but notice how they are not flying in the v-formation that is characteristic of geese. That was intentional with the purpose of showing that there are a lot of same-species birds of a non-specified species.#8: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 6, 2017
And yes, lol to Bill's comment. I don't think it will catch on, but it does have a certain ring to it, doesn't it?
Also, thank you so much, Teresa. I am happy that I was able to give you that satisfying "aha" moment. ^-^
"Make like a bird, and get the flock out of here." No? That's not a proverb?#9: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 6, 2017
The there's always the obvious one: Birds of a feather flock together.#10: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 7, 2017
