It takes some "artist's intuition." It's a type of educated guessing where the solver predicts where what color should go based on what would make the most sense artistically. It's the only kind of intuition that I have used that has never been wrong. (Other than that, I can't ever trust my "gut feeling".) Basically, any one of the 2x2 diagonal blocks can be reversed.
