And they couldn't have possibly picked a worse melody to set the alphabet to. You hit Z right in the middle of a phrase, and it's barely more than halfway through.#9: Bruce Yanoshek (yanogator) on Feb 16, 2021
Try singing ABCs to Yankee Doodle. It comes out perfectly, and your kids won't be wondering what the heck an "ellemennopee" is.
Finally, Twinkle Twinkle starts with a major fifth interval (C-C G-G A-A G), which is quite difficult for a young child. Yankee Doodle has no such leaps.
Great suggestion, Bill, then you can continue with the chorus of Yankee Doodle (But if you sing the alphabet again with the chorus, you unfortunately end with Y). :(#10: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Feb 16, 2021
Fun puzzle, Louis. Solvable by LL alone, but with a lot of back and forth, because of so many 1s. It's the kind of puzzle I love.
Very tough puzzle!
