At first I was going to quote Yogi Berra. "If you come to a fork in the road, take it."#2: besmirched tea (besmirched tea) on Apr 26, 2017
But I'd rather share Robert Frost's poem, "The Road Not Takenâ€
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Bear left! Bear left! Frog right!#3: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 26, 2017

The Frost poem came to mind, even without yellow. ;)#5: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Apr 27, 2017
A fork in the road is common in life#6: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 27, 2017
But naught is so rare as a knife
:) Hadn't heard that one, Bill.#7: jewel crown (jewel) on May 14, 2017
Thanks Teresa; for the puzzle and the verse!#8: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Nov 8, 2019
I believe it's Ogden Nash.#9: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Nov 8, 2019
I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife. :))
A fork in the road can come in handy if you also happen upon schnitzel in the road.#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 8, 2019
And, of course, we shouldn't forget the famous quote from Yogi Berra: If you come to a fork in the road, take it.#11: Ron Jacobson (shmily999) on Nov 8, 2019
If a road that diverges is a fork, is a cul de sac a spoon?#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 8, 2019
LOL Ron.#13: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Aug 12, 2020
"The Cul-de-Sac Not Taken"#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Aug 12, 2020
One road ended in a neighborhood,
And sorry I could not travel free
And be one traveler, long I stood
And spun in circles as long as I could
Where all these porches stare at me...
Very clever, David. (✬‿✬)#15: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Dec 15, 2022
