Puzzle Description:

The first World Pond Hockey Championship was held 17 yrs ago in Plaster Rock New Brunswick. Just 19 klms from my home. It featured 40 teams from across Canada and the United States. This year there were over 200 teams from more than 20 countries represented. They come from as far away as the United Kingdom,New Zealand,Sweden,Yugoslavia and Iceland. Not just to play hockey but also to meet and party with people from around the world. There's a huge heated beer tent, ice sculptures, fireworks and lots a fun for 3 days and 2 nights.

When was it? I meant to check in on it because you mentioned it before and I thing Niki posted pictures.

Where did they house all those players? In homes of the residents?

What fun!

It was held this weekend Norma. Some people board them. There are motels and hotels nearby as well. A lot of these teams have purchased homes that they stay in,then they either rent them out later or they put them up for sale hoping to make a profit. If the house does not sell they have a place for the next year. A lot of the teams come in trailers and Winnebagos and they camp at the campground adjacent to the lake. It truly is quite the event. We went to the opening ceremonies and it's cool to see these teams and talk to people from far away. :)

Wow, thanks Aldege, this looks like a whole lot of fun.
#6: Belita (belita) on Feb 19, 2017 [SPOILER]
Wow! That's quite the gathering! Do you play hockey, Aldege? Or did you in your younger years?
#7: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 19, 2017
Thx gang. Yes it is a lot of fun and it's nice to see the all these people from different nationalities getting along and enjoying the different cultures. Some people exchange gifts or sweaters. They all have custom made jerseys with their own designs of crests. :)

I don't anymore Belita,but I played a lot in the past. I was a goalie and I did once play at a semi-pro level. :)

What has happened when ice sculptures were in heated tents?
#9: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Feb 20, 2017
I never played hockey but i was asked to be the Goalie for the archery team :(
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Feb 20, 2017
Not an ideal choice for a long career.
#11: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 20, 2017
The ice sculpture was outside Thomas. :)

Your a funny guy Bill. How did you make out with that? lol. :)
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 20, 2017
That's funny too Norma. :)
#13: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Feb 20, 2017
Love the info, Aldege!
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 20, 2017
Thx JoDeen. :)
#15: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 20, 2017
What a cool puzzle, Aldege! Totally fun solve.
#16: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 21, 2017
Thx Teresa.:)

I guess that the heated beer tent was for the U.K. visitors, with cold beer available for people with other tastes.
#18: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 22, 2017
I assume that's a heated [beer tent], rather than a [heated beer] tent. ;)
#19: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 22, 2017
Ah the importance of proper english. I guess I should have said "A heated tent that serves beer" to avoid confusion. John's response could be correct but I think the U.K. visitors prefer their beer at room temperature. :)
#20: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Feb 23, 2017
You could say a heated debate about serving beer. :-)
(Sorry, Mr. Brewski, we only serve people in this tent - try the soylent green tent - they accept a wider range of customers.)
#21: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Feb 24, 2017
Cool event Aldege. Glad you could experience it.
#22: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 25, 2017
Thx Susan. I think it is so cool that an event like this can be held in such a small town. The restaurant that Niki and I hang out at makes a ton of money due to this event. :)
#23: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Mar 10, 2022
Didn't finish. Too much guessing.
#24: Philip (Philip) on Mar 11, 2022 [HINT]
No guessing needed: solved red and blue completely; then CL on black for a few, green for a few, repeating to the end.
#25: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Mar 12, 2022
Norma and Aldege, that plan turned out to be full of holes ...
