Quick French lesson: adjectives generally go after the noun, except when dealing with Beauty, Age, Number, Goodness, and Size (mnemonic BANGS). Therefore, une belle fille. :)#7: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 28, 2017
Some adjectives have 2 different meanings, depending whether they go before or after the noun. Example: filet mignon is a tender steak. Mignon filet is a cute steak.
Beautiful puzzle, by the way. :)#8: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Mar 28, 2017
Kristen, I thank you for the well-meant correction, as I always appreciate having correct grammar, but I actually already knew that and was going for a poetic sound. Just like in English one could say "a beautiful girl", they could also poetically title something "a girl beautiful". However, in English it doesn't sound too pretty backwards. French kinda hides that.#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 29, 2017
I figured you knew, and maybe were calling her "A girl, Belle." I just feel compelled to share information that I think is interesting. ^_^#10: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Mar 30, 2017
Interesting information is always welcome. :)
