This reminds me of some of the floral motifs in William Morris prints. He was an artist and textile designer (among other things) of the Arts & Crafts Movement in the late 1800s. I've always liked his designs. Some of the images in the Wikipedia article on him will show the resemblance.

Great guesses gang. I especially like Leimamo's and John's. However I have tell you that David's is bang on. It is a modern interpretation of a maple leaf. This year 2017 is the 150th Anniversary of Canada and this maple leaf was printed on a calender sent to everyone in our area by our representative in Parliament. I made a lot of changes to it to make it solvable and not be symmetric. So David because of your keen eye,you have won an FBA. I hope it brings you wealth and high standing in your community.

BTW have you read Johnny Marr's latest book titled SET THE BOY FREE. It's very interesting and gives some insight on his great talent. I think you might enjoy it.

Great Job Aldege, When I first looked at it I thought of a city sky line at night. When I read John's answer my mind track switched and all I could see was the sundae. Will have to look up the new maple leaf to be able see. :)

Thx Donna. I don't think they changed the maple leaf on our flag. This was printed on a 2017 calender that came in our mailbox. It was sent by the office of T.J.Harvey our member of Parliament. He belongs to the Liberal Party. :)

CB an FBA is a Frozen Boot Award. Something I made up for fun that I award to people who can interpret my puzzles. :)

I'll try to make more room in my freezer to store another FBA :)

"Made up for fun" applies to the person wearing the frozen boot, not the one who gets it in the end.

Wow David I'm impressed. You actually had a large freezer made with a glass front in order to keep your FBA's frozen but still able to proudly display them. You are the man. :)

I didn't have to make it. I got mine from the same place grocery stores get their tall freezer cases with the big glass doors. But the bookcase that it's built into? I did have to make that!

I'm even more impressed now. :)

Aldège, if this is a modern representation of our maple leaf, then either I am even more old-fashioned than my kids think I am, or your MP T.J. Harvey is way ahead of Canada's coming Cannabis Act, or both.
