Should be a totally blank picture. "When you check the scene of crime, McCavity's not there."

Totally agree, John. Cats is one of my favorite musicals. The two songs that I like the most is "Rum Tum Tigger" and of course "Memory". Cute picture of a cat, but I was hoping for something more like the characters of the musical.

Don't forget that it was a book of poems long before it was a musical.

As a kid, we had a copy of TS Eliot's _Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats_. I've never seen the musical.

I was really just trying to find a good title for a cat picture. :)

Whoops! I thought I'd put the link in a comment. Rookie mistake. :)

Such deceitfulness and suavity. Now we know where he's been - just hanging out with Kristen. :-)

I love the music from Cats, but I really adore poetry like this, that I can read to my kids, that they can learn to appreciate.

I saw the musical first and did not realize until a few years after that T S Eliot ;had written a whole book. (I am not really in to a lot of poetry. I started using it as a way to introduce my middle schoolers to poetry. When they found out that some songs were poems first they could appreciate it more.

Did you know when Andrew Lloyd Webber approached T S Elliot's wife about using the book as a bases for a musical, the only way she would agree if he promised the cats in the musical would not be cutesy cartoony cats. She was very pleased when the musical came out.

Kristen you did a great job of finding a good title for a cat picture.

It's not very well known. I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it.

"Cats" opened at the Winter Garden on October 7, 1982. In 1997 it surpassed "A Chorus Line" as the longest running show in Broadway history. On September 10, 2000, after7,485 shows and a run of 18 nearly 18 years the show closed - a Broadway record.

I still can't get the song out of my head.

I was being *extremely* sarcastic. :)

"I laughed, I cried. It was better than CATS."
#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 12, 2017
what's a broadway?
#13: Donna McFarland (donna0328) on Jan 12, 2017
AH HA!!!!! David is being an ostrich with his head in the sand.
#14: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 13, 2017
i've put an ostrich sandwich in my head before, does that count?

The poem you linked to, Kristen, says Macavity is a ginger cat. Too bad there's no orange here. Nice puzzle, I do love cats, and all pictures of them too.
#16: Greggo (Greggo) on May 2, 2018
The cat from Logan's Run.
