there are lots of instances of el, but only one or 2 are needed. careful color logic pretty much gets ya. I like solving tricky lil puzz's like this, so I threw one out there for y'all. enjoy! :)

It was tricky indeed! Took me awhile but worth the effort...and no, I'm not volunteering to do any raking...sorry! I have shoveling to do today.
#3: Jota (jota) on Jan 7, 2017
Lovely solve! Thanks!
#4: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Jan 7, 2017
Thx Kurt! This type of puzzles what I like :)
#5: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 7, 2017
Like the puzzle! Don't like cleaning up leaves.
#6: Liz P (lizteach) on Jan 7, 2017
Good solve! If we have any leaves left, they're buried beneath the snow.
#7: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 7, 2017
Great image Kurt. Are you meaning at home or on the golf course? I'm assuming you mean at home. Why do we rake leaves anyway? I always thought the leaves decompose and make good fertilizer for the spring grass. You would know more about this than me Kurt. Is it true? :)

in general, Al. home and golf course. dealing with leaves is on-going for several months at work. and that they do!(as per making good fertilizer) They are nitrogen and carbon, both essential for the plant. almost even more importantly, it's good food for the microbes that break down nitrogen and help it into the plant. I just mulch em with a mower and let nature have em.... :)

Cute puzzle. I am sorry that I can not help you rake leaves, if I did you would be rushing me to the hospital for severe allergic reaction. I hire some one to do this.
#11: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Jan 7, 2017
bury them with snow until spring!
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 7, 2017
I use to mulch them and put them in my flower beds, but with 2 acres of land I just (leaf) them alone. :)
#13: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 7, 2017
so punny, Al! ;)
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 7, 2017
Are you turning over a new leaf, Kurt? Nah, I didn't think so. :-) This was just the perfect amount of tricky!

Re: #9
No Kurt. Your method is less effective than mine. You started with line/color logic and then after continued with edge logic. My solve STARTS WITH EDGE LOGIC and after that continued by color logic.
This is that what I've wanted to explain for years. First step is SEEING, second is CHOOSING METHOD, and only third step is counting squares.
Much more effective and fast :)

I usually go to adv logic first also :) but to explain to others how to solve, you choose as few steps as possible.... much easier that way ;)

Best puzzles show "No hint avaible" at beginning. Pls explain it to drawing maniacs. :)

Great leaf but haven't seen too many of them around here. Everything is beautiful and white.
#19: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 8, 2017
Everything's pretty green, here in NOLA. We do have pine needles galore, but no fallen leaves.
#20: Ellen Vollor (evollor) on Jan 8, 2017
Nice "tricky" puzzle!! I don't let nature take its course around here. With the decomposing leaves comes the hordes of black flies and mosquitoes. We need to clean them up and, because we are surrounded by woods, we need to spray the edges of the property to keep the ticks from invading. I think that I like fall the best, bugs are crawling into their winter spaces and leaving us alone.
