Somehow I get this feeling I won't be the first.

I don't even know what an FBA is. I'll be getting back to you and Destyny, Aldege, with my story and pictures about Hawai`i. I've had a bad time of it lately, both with my arthritis (which I know you understand), and my best friend died. She fought colon cancer for 2 1/2 years. I last saw her 3 days before she died. I had to have a friend drive me. I can't drive very far when my arthritis is bad. She didn't even know I was there, but I talked to her anyway. She died 2 days before Thanksgiving. Her funeral was last Thursday. I was able to do a bible reading at the mass. Everyone said I did a good job and want me to do more of it in church, but I could only do it for her. I cried all last weekend. I thought that would get it out of my system, but I was wrong. I will recover and get back to Destyny's cookies and story. I'm sorry for the delay. She (Beth, is her name) has been my best friend since 1962. I miss her a lot and always will. Her children are my godchildren. Her daughter is also Jennifer, after me. My daughter is Mary Elizabeth, after Beth. I know you are a sensitive person, like me, but I don't want Destyny upset by any of this. She did a kind thing for an old lady. I am enjoying the cookies and telling everyone about a little girl I bought them from who lives all the way in Canada. It makes me feel better. Don't tell Destyny I'm in mourning. I only want her happiness, this time of year, especially. She's a good child.

Oh, okay. It's a Christmas tree that fell over. The red things are candles that they used to put on trees, whatever and FBA is.

Aloha & Mele Kalikimaka,

Jennifer/Aunty Jennt

I'm so sorry for your loss. And I think you may be right about the tree. Aldege did mention his tree falling. And I'll let him explain his FBA. He does it in such an entertaining way.

Aldege, I was wondering if it is another abstract by your baby artist?

Jennifer, I'm so sorry for your loss. My best friend died last year. I miss her so much. We can support each other here with virtual hugs, and we have all these wonderful people here to cheer us up.

Thank you Teresa. It is wonderful to have a place like this to come to. A virtual hug to you, too. I know that gradually I will be happy to think of her in heaven and free of the pain she went through, but right now, I just miss her.

A collapsed Christmas Wreath? Other than that no idea.

Jennifer and Teresa my heart goes out to both of you. It is so hard to lose a loved one and sometimes friends are more like your family than just a friend.

I'm sorry everyone for taking so long to comment but I've been out all day and just got home an hour ago. Today was Destyny's school Christmas play. She was adorable and sang her little heart out. Daddy was so proud. I will try hard to get Niki to post pictures for all you aunties and uncles.
First let me thank you all for playing however no one guessed correctly. I already did the fallen tree puzzle so that's not what this is. The quality of the image is poor because I did want it to appear abstract and I wanted it to be somewhat hard so I could get some funny guesses from you. And no Chastydy is not responsible for this mess,I am.

Secondly,I want to say how sorry we all are for your loss aunt Jenny. I haven't told Destyny and I won't. I don't want to put any damper on her spirit about this wonderful thing that we have done. Again I have to repeat about all the happiness this idea of your buying cookies from a sweet little girl that you have never met but think of as your niece because so many of you have been there right from Destyny's 1st day of birth. This has brought joy to so many people it's very heart warming.

I also want to say that Teresa made a wonderful puzzle about the best Christmas present. Well aunt Jenny, hearing from you today is the best present that I will receive this Christmas because I was truly worried that something had happened to you. I'm very sorry for your loss but extremely happy that you are still with us.

Now auntie Jenny,an FBA has a rich and steeped history attached to it. It is a trophy that I award to people for guessing correctly on my puzzles that I ask if anyone can guess what my puzzle is about. The trophy is based on my grandmothers old boots that she used to kick her children and grandchildren in the behind with when they misbehaved.
My grandmother had 14 children and my mother had 18 children,so you can imagine how much wear and how many pairs of boots she went thru.
I have a never ending supply that I have frozen and preserved. Hence FBA stands for FROZEN BOOT AWARD. Now keep in mind these boots are not meant to be worn again. These are prized and very sought after boots that are meant to be proudly displayed in ones home. Many people here have won these and are extremely proud of them. When people visit and see them they immediately comment on them. They tend to make people open up and start conversations about things that most people don't talk about. Whoever should win one of these immediately is catapulted to a place of honour and high standing in their community. So that's it in a nutshell aunt Jenny and I am pleased to tell you that I am awarding you with an FBA. Again this particular FBA is no ordinary one. My grandmother was wearing this one when she met John Wayne. He was a strapping young lad then when he wandered to far into the bush while hunting in Northern Ontario. Sudbury in fact. He came to her door asking for help. To make a long story short, she fed him, they played a little cribbage and consumed a fair bit of moonshine. She put on some jug band music and they did a little jig. Being somewhat intoxicated he stepped on her toe. This angered her and she proceeded to kick him in the ass, remove his hat and did the jig on it. She then opened the door and sent him on his way. So you see this is a very special FBA. Display it proudly. Oh,and it may be a bit odiferous as she had a bit of manure on the soles still. Congratulations aunt Jenny and Merry Christmas.

Now as to what this puzzle is. It is 2 blue candles sitting amongst some holly. I know it's hard to see but use your imagination and perhaps it will become clear.

Sorry for the long winded comment gang but I hope you can have a laugh or two with it. Merry Christmas to you all and again you guys are the best. :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Aldege. John Wayne????
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 22, 2016
Thx Norma. I may be wrong about John Wayne. It may have been John Barrymore or Jean Beliveau the famous Montreal Canadiens captain. :)
