Puzzle Description:

Here in Australia Christmas falls in summer. Despite the lack of snow, we have adopted many of the northern hemisphere Christmas traditions - roast turkey, hot Christmas pudding, carols, tinsel. Like our northern friends, lots of people display Christmas lights, including many appearances of Santa and his sleigh. But, drive around town, look up on the roofs, and you'll see there are plenty of people who make it a little more Australian - kangaroos instead of reindeers pulling the sleigh.

Love the kangaroo. Also like hearing about traditions in other parts if the world.

Cool image and clever idea. It would have been nice to have a little more white though. Still enjoyable to see the image come together. And I learned something new. :-)

Thanks everybody. Teresa, I did play with more white to increase the difficulty but there were some special "hidden" messages that consequently became obscured. The messages? The kangaroos always score a red nose a la Rudolph. I wanted the kangaroo to be a female with joey in pouch. And I wanted a certain constellation in the sky that all around the world is regarded as significant to people in the southern hemisphere.

Cool instead of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer we have Roodolph the Red Nose Kangaroo. Love it and really fun solve.

I like it just the was it is, tango. It would be difficult to work in more white.

I noticed both: the joey *and* the constellation. :)

Wonderful puzzle! I love the joey peeking out from the pouch. I see he has a red nose too! Cute.
